CAMHS and CAS faculty researchers pass concept hearing; prep for proposal

Faculty members Mr. Randy Catague of the College of Allied Medical Health Sciences as well as Ms. Mary Jane Ajos and Ms. Ana Tessa Catague from College of Arts and Sciences have presented their research concepts last March 20 and 23, 2021, and April 16, 20121, and are currently preparing their full proposals for the next defense.

Mr. Catague has entitled his concept paper as “Mitotic Inhibition of Onion Root Tip Meristematic Cell on Para Grass Extract.” The technical panel composed of Dr. Sheila Arnibal, Dr. Mona Freda Secondes, and Mr. Robert John Lamis. Meanwhile, Ms. Ajos’ paper entitled, “Non-Suicidal Self Injury among Filipino Adolescents and its Relationship to Disengagement Coping as basis for A Series of Preventive Online Webinars for Young Learners,” was evaluated by Dr. Annabee Claur, Dr. Ivy Aboy, and Ms. Chris Feli Joy Tajonera. As for Ms. Catague’s concept paper, “Thinking Skills and Academic Performance of SCITES030 students of the UNO-R: A Quantitative Correlational Study,” was presented in front of a technical panel composed of Annabee Claur, Dr. Ivy Aboy, and Dr. Vilma Azucena.

Revisions are currently being made by the mentioned faculty researchers and the RDO is waiting for their full proposals to be submitted within the semester.

On the other hand, CCJE’s Dr. Jean Pauyon and Mr. Edwin Moradilla will be presenting their concept paper this May 26, 2021.
