The Research and Development Office conducted the Faculty Research Enhancement Seminar Series (FRESS) 1 and 2 as part of this year’s In-Service Training at the University President’s Hall last July 7.
FRESS 1, entitled, “Enhancing Research Culture and Processes,” was handled by Dr. Mona Feda Secondes, RDO Director. The said lecture was also given during previous FRESS sessions, however, she highlighted in her talk the need for the faculty members to engage in research as part of their growth as a professional as well as to contribute to the cultivation of strengthened research culture in the university.
Meanwhile, Dr. Ivy Aboy, RDO Research Quality Assurance Specialist, shared her expertise on research publication for the second session of FRESS entitled, “Writing and Revising Articles for Publication.”
60 faculty members from the six colleges with and eight lay administrators participated in the half-day event.
FRESS aims to promote the research culture among faculty members, wherein it also seeks to enhance the knowledge and skills of faculty members in conducting research-related initiatives.*
