To aid students with their quantitative research studies, the Research and Development Office held the 9th RESSS, which focused on Statistics, at the St. Ezekiel Laboratory 2 last March 9, 2020.
The seminar-workshop was organized to enable students grasp the technique of using Microsoft Excel and SPSS as mediums or tools for analyzing statistical data.
Mr. Alfredo Alave, College of Arts and Sciences Faculty, facilitated the activity with a demonstration of using MS Excel and SPSS for statistics. Most students from the College of Education actively involved themselves in the discussion.
According to Mr. Alave, statistics uses words in a different way than they are used in everyday language, which is why mastery of analyzing data is needed for an accurate result of a research.
The activity was participated by 14 students from the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Business and Accountancy, College of Allied Medical Health Sciences, and College of Education.
