Progressing towards the next level, three tertiary schools held the Collaboration Journal Launching of the 2nd Edition of Students’ Outputs to Advance Research (SOAR) at the Chalet 1 and 2, May 31, 2019.
The purpose of SOAR is to communicate knowledge, create a public record of original contributions to the body of knowledge, and encourage the students and faculty members to intellectually communicate with one another, from the review process to the publication of researches.
Three research projects were presented wherein each collaborating institution had a representative. UNO-R’s “Travelguard: A Mobile Application for Travelers”; Riverside College’s “Bacteria Infested Water Sources and Their Capability to Produce Electrical Charge”; and STI-WNU’s “Tasked-based Approach in Teaching Reading to Grade 8 Students of STI – West Negros University.
Research posters from the three institutions were displayed during the program and in their respective schools. Last July, the said posters were also displayed at the University’s Main Lobby.
SOAR 2nd Edition is a collaborative work that gives worth to the students’ research-based discoveries in their respective fields of expertise of their chosen profession. The first issue of SOAR was published in April 2018.
